Antique car shopping! Need Help!?

I work in a dental office and my co-worker owns a Chrysler Imperial Crown 1968. It was her grandfather, and he left the car to her when he passed away. I like old cars, the car is in very good condition and well like any old car it needs some work, nothing major. I am planning to take some precautions and do additional works on it such as change all the belts, brakes, new tires and so on. It also has power, window, locks and it is leather interior. What I need to know is, is it worth buying it for 00? I have a friend who told me that those car where not that well-known and that I shouldn’t spend my money on it or to pay less for it. Can someone please help?

Rod Run, Custom & Antique Car Show, 2009

Custom and antique car show in Piggott, Arkansas in 2009. This is a yearly event, and just keeps getting bigger. There are over 100 pictures! I did not even get close to taking pictures of all the cars this year, there were over 300 cars entered. I tried to get good detailed pictures of all the cars I liked, such as chromed out engines and interior details. I hope ya’ll like, and will see ya next year!

Can i put a brand new engine into an antique car?

I have a 1978 Corvette, and i was wondering if the engine ever gives away, can i replace it with a new Corvette engine? i know it wouldn’t be original, but can i still do that and have the car work properly?
